An Introduction to Collagraph Printmaking - 20th & 21st February 2010, 10am - 4pm
This is an exciting two-day workshop run by Hester. Participants will learn techniques of collagraph printmaking, a diverse and textural way of making beautiful images without the use of harsh chemicals. The first day will be spent learning to design and create collagraph printmaking plates and using a variety of collage materials including natural objects. The second day will be spent exploring ways to print the collagraphs using an etching press. The workshop is suitable for beginners and more experienced artists. The course takes place in the inspiring location of Old Sleningford Farm, North Stainley, Ripon. Lunch and materials will be provided.

Drypoint and Chine Colle - 6th March 2010, 10am - 4pm
This is a day workshop aiming to introduce beginners and more experienced artists to drypoint printmaking. This is lovely technique using simple materials which allow the printmaker to create line drawings that can then be coloured or have collage elements added using the ancient technique known as 'chine colle'. The course takes place in the inspiring location of Old Sleningford Farm, North Stainley, Ripon. Lunch and materials will be provided.

Monoprinting Workshop - 8th May 2010, 10am - 4pm
Monoprintmaking is one of the most painterly and spontaneous ways of making prints, each of which will be a one-off image. Learn various exciting monoprint techniques using collage, painting and drawing. Suitable for beginners and more experienced artists. Lunch and materials will be provided.
